Aronia is a very hardy deciduous bush which attracts attention at three times during the growing season. The clusters of white flowers are showy from a distance. In the fall the bushes get loaded with clusters of purple edible berries which linger, and the fall foliage is brilliant tones of red and orange. This batch of seedlings matures at 4’ to 5’.

This pine is native in a few areas on the California and Baja coast. It is variable in shape and size, usually having some curved branches and a domed top in exposed sites. Found on coastal bluffs and headlands. Excellent near the coast, in rocky or well drained soil. Drought tolerant. Could get up to 40 feet eventually with soil depth, will stay smaller in poor soil situations. Low maintenance, tough plant, likes full sun. Needles in bunches of two.
